  it blows my mind.

  just thought of another question that could start someone waking up.

  you could say something to the effect of, "i was thinking how if we were to come across a person in the ministry who asks us how luke 21:8 does not apply to jws in light of the comments such as the ones (quoted below) how could we respond?".

  or you could say that someone at work or school presented you with the awake quote and said luke 21:8 proves jws false, then you could say you need help coming up with a response to him.. luke 21:8 .

  Demands from minorities are generally pretty tedious to the majority. However, everyone has a right to be heard IMHO, be they of the minority, in accord with the minority or opposed to the minority. It's about tolerance. Tolerance is accepting something one doesn't like very much. Heteros need to accept homosexuality as something a person is born into. Homosexuals need to accept that their activities may be considered distasteful to some heteros. It's all about live and let live and not shoving our personal choices down the throats of those who are different to ourselves.

  i was a junior borgite in 1975. i remeber looking at the calendar at work in october and thinking: 'armageddon isn't here yet.....and it doesn't feel like it will be here anytime soon either!'.

  i was surprised that jehovah hadn't obeyed the superior command to bring the big 'a' as instructed to him by fred franz.

  how dare god disobey the jw leader!!!!!.

  i heard a rumour that the uk hq is moving from mill hill in london to a location in essex near chelmsford.

  explanation being that it's closer to the transport networks.

  anyone know anymore?.

  Why Do Some Ex-JWs Get Their Feelings Hurt So Badly By Shunning?

  i ran in to a ex-jw and had a good laugh once he realized i was not going to shun him.

  i am a different soul when we are dealing with watchtower demonology, everything about the organization is fan boy based.

  watchtower creates the illusion of a community that never existed, we were too blind to realize most of the people we invested time with was nothing more than a farce, once you can't offer up more sacrfices on the watchtower's alter, your going to get less attention and eventually if your kingdom hall is big enough, they won't come looking for you.. .

  I was shunned exactly as I had anticipated. I accepted it, but avoided putting myself into any situation where it could happen. I just totally ignored all JW's which did seem to disconcert a few of them. A couple of JW's approached me to tell me why they were going to shun me, and I just asked: "Why?" The inevitable reply was: "Because you're disfellowshipped" I'd then ask why was I disfellowshipped to which they'd reply they didn't know why. I'd then point out that they were shunning me but they didn't know why and were they happy with that?

  Can being gay live in harmony with being a christian?

  i have looked at the thread about gay marriages in california and thought about asking this question there, but instead of hi-jacking that one i thought i would ask it here.

  there seems to be quite a few gay people on this site and i wonder how many class themselves as christian?

  if so, can being gay live in harmony with being a christian?.

  I'm sure that being gay isn't entirely a matter of personal choice. Recent studies seem to indicate that sexual orientation begins in the womb. There does seem to be many disadvantages to being gay, particularly for someone who is gay and wants to have a family, although some gay guys that I know say they've acepted those limitations.
